Our Story
Emily Stephens noticed the quiet struggles — the kind that rarely make noise but weigh heavily on the hearts of children. Guided by compassion and a deep belief that every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and cared for, Emily and her mother set out to create a place where support wasn’t just offered, but felt.

Since 2013, China Spring Cares has partnered with teachers, counselors, churches, and social workers to identify students who need a little extra help and a whole lot of kindness. Today, we’re located in the CSISD Annex Building (the old intermediate school), where students can come “shop” for what they need at no cost — or, when needed, we deliver clothing and essential items directly to their campus.

Every visit, every delivery, every shared moment of relief and joy is a reminder of why this work matters.
Our Mission
China Spring Cares will ensure every CSISD student, from Pre-K through 12th grade, has the essentials they need—clothing, shoes, food, hygiene items, and school supplies—so they can walk into each day feeling supported, confident, and seen.
Our Values
We are committed to upholding our core values of honesty, kindness, compassion, and empathy—and to remaining willing and ready to meet the needs of every child in the China Spring community.
